Men's Cross Country, Distance Track

Mules with Strong Performance at Bates

Lewiston, Maine - Colby College Track and Field, along with Cross Country, competed in the Bobcat Tune-up at Bates College with impressive performances. 

In the Men's 60m preliminaries, Terrel Hood-Simeon, Ian Irwin, and Peter Martel swept the podium out of 22 runners, each finishing in 7.04, 7.08 and 7.16 seconds. Ian Irwin also took first place in the 60m finals, finishing in 7.01 seconds. In the 200m race, Jackson Coelho took first place with a time of 23.06 seconds, along with Ivan Yan and Patrick Kuprewicz getting seventh and twelfth with times of 24.14, 24.93 seconds respectively. Colby dominated the 400m race with Peter Martel and Jackson Coelho taking first and second place with times of 50.51 and 50.76 seconds. Colby also finished on top in the 600m race with Reeve Derby and Mark Braubart finishing first and second with a time of 1:26.75 and 1:27.21 respectively. In the 800m race, Sam Graubart and Hayden Bailey got third and fifth place with times of 1:59.09 and 2:10.19 respectively. In the 60m hurdles preliminaries, Levi Biery, Patrick Kuprewicz, Ivan Yan, and Alex Lyon each got third, fifth, eighth, and thirteenth place, with times of 8.63, 8.87, 9.30, 11.02 seconds. Levi Biery, Patrick Kuprewicz, and Ivan Yan were qualified for finals and each got second, third, and seventh with times of 8.61, 8.78, and 9.38 seconds. In the 4 x 400m relay, Reeve Derby, Mark Graubart, Patrick Kuprewicz, and Ivan Yan finished in 3:40.91, taking first place. 

For Field events, all 4 Colby pole vaulters, Lexington LehnertLogan LehnertMyles Thornton-Sherman, and Wyatt Patterson finished top 4, with Lexington Lehnert clearing 4.60m, Logan Lehnert and Myles Thornton-Sherman clearing 4.45m, and Myles Thornton-Sherman clearing 4.30m. Milan Joshi participated in the Triple Jump, placing third out of eight participants with 11.94m. 

In the Women's 60m finals, Simone WaheedCharlotte Brake-HoffmanTally Zeller, and Ellie Wang finished top 4 with times of 7.74, 7.98, 8.04, and 8.06 seconds. In the 200m race, Kristina Pizzi took first place with a time of 26.55, along with Mia Sullivan in fourth place with a time of 27.41. In the 600m race, Quinn Cushing finished second with a time of 1:48.47. Similarly in the 800m race, Olivia Doherty finished second with a time of 2:28.65. In the mile race, Emily Jeon was placed seventh, finishing the mile in 5:45.53. In the 4 x 400m relay, Jordan Roskiewicz, Quinn Cushing, Mia Sullivan, Charlotte Brake-Hoffman finished in 4:19.19, taking first place. 

For Field events, Gabriella Bresnick cleared a height of 3.10m in pole vault, placing her in third place. In the triple jump event, Ariel Estime and Jordan Roskiewicz each got second and third place, each with marks of 10.50m and 10.37m respectively. 

The Mules will be back on Friday, February 22, in the D3 New England Championships at Boston, Mass.
