Men's Track and Field (Sprints, Hurdles, Jumps)

Track and Field returns from the Lynn Rudy Invitational

Brunswick, Maine - The Mules participated in the Lynn Rudy Invitational hosted by Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine, with the Men's team ranking second out of eight teams, and Women's team ranking sixth our of nine teams. 

In the Men's 400m race, Hayden Bailey finished in 54.35 seconds, placing him second, and Ivan Yan finished in 56.66 seconds, placing him fifth out of seven runners. In the 800m race, Kevin Gustafson led the way for Colby, getting first place and finishing in 2:03.87, followed by Will Parker and Zachary Gellert, each getting fourth and sixth place, and finishing in 2:05.58 and 2:12.62 respectively. In the 3000m race, Brady Clegg, the only Colby Participant in the race, secured third place with a time of 8:54.57 out of twelve other participants. In the 5000m race, Greydon Gavin finished in 15:52.68 and placed first. In the 60m hurdles, Patrick Kuprewicz finished second with a time of 9.02, followed by Ivan Yan in third with a time of 9.16. 

For field events, Lexington Lehnert, Logan Lehnert, and Wyatt Patterson each was placed second, third, and fourth place in pole vault, clearing heights of 4.60m, 4.45m, and 4.30m respectively. In the heptathlon, Myles Thornton-Sherman broke the school record, getting first place with 4531 points, followed by Mark Graubart, Reeve Derby, and Alex Lyon, each getting fourth, fifth, and sixth place, with 3551, 3226, and 3208 points respectively. 

In the Women's 600m race, Anna Mackey finished in fifth with a time of 1:55.99. In the 3000m race, Abbey WolfeEmily Jeon, and Bridget Meehan each were placed second, third, and fourth, with times of 11:06.91, 11:09.97, and 11:12.94 respectively. In the 60m hurdles, Jordan Roskiewicz was placed sixth with a time of 9.85.

For field events, in the pole vault, Gabriella Bresnick was placed third, clearing a height of 2.95m. In the triple jump, Ariel Estime was placed fourth with 10.28m. In the heptathlon, Michelle Barnes was placed second with 2774 points. 

Colby will be participating in the Bobcat Tune Up in Lewiston, Maine, on Saturday, Februrary 22.
