Waltham, Mass. – The Colby College Track & Field teams turned in a strong performance at the Reggie Poyau Memorial Invitational, hosted by Brandeis University, highlighted by the women's team earning a first-place finish among eight teams and the men placing fourth out of seven.
The women delivered depth across the meet, led by
Kaitlyn Ewald, who won the 500m (1:16.40), and
Charlotte Brake-Hoffman, who placed second in both the 60m (7.95) and 300m (41.57).
Tally Zeller added a third-place finish in the 300m (41.71), while
Alex Hermsdorff took second in the 500m (1:20.02). The quartet of Zeller, Hermsdorff, Ewald, and Brake-Hoffman closed out the meet with a win in the 4x400m relay (3:55.77), and
Amina Cifric finished second in the pole vault (3.45m).
On the men's side,
Jackson Coelho led a dominant showing in the 500m, winning in 1:04.62, with Sam Graubart and
Levi Biery following in second and third. Biery also placed second in the 60m hurdles (8.53). Colby claimed the 4x400m relay behind
Mark Graubart, Sam Graubart, Coelho, and Biery (3:22.10), while
Lexington Lehnert won the pole vault (4.60m) and
Samuel Gerrie earned second in the long jump (6.28m).
