Seguin, Texas - Colby Men's Tennis began their spring break trip in Texas on Monday, March 20th with an 8-1 win over Texas Lutheran. 

The Mules got off to a quick 3-0 start in the doubles. Senior captain Jan Wenger and sophomore Jake Cohen won 8-1 at 1st doubles. At 3rd doubles senior captain Josh Fleishman and sophomore Josh Kaplan won 8-1 and junior Sam Henry and sophomore James Bogdanovic won 8-5 at 2nd doubles.

In the singles, junior captain Joey Barrett had a convincing victory at the number one spot, taking down his opponent 6-0, 6-0. At line 2, Cohen also won 6-0, 6-0. At 3rd singles, senior Ben Powis overcame his opponent 6-0, 6-1.

Freshman Aidan Kwong continued his hot streak, defeating his opponent 6-0, 6-0 at line 4. On Court 6, Sophomore Julian Cangieter-Hernandez fell to his opponent 6-2, 6-3.

The final victory for the Mules came on court 5 with sophomore Ram Das winning a close 7-5, 6-3.

The Mules continue their trip with a doubles header on Monday, March 21st against Centre College and Schreiner University.
