Waterville, Maine - The 2026-27 home athletic slate continues on Mayflower Hill this Tuesday evening as the Colby Field Hockey team welcomes Husson University for a 6:00pm matchup. The Mules hold a commanding 22-1 all-time record against the Eagles, looking to maintain their dominant form in a series where their lone setback dates back to 2007.

Colby enters the fall following a 6-9 campaign in 2025, having battled through one of the most grueling schedules in Division III.

Head Coach Allison Whittemore returns for her fifth season leading the Mules, anchored by a strengthened coaching staff on the sidelines. Hannah Keefe steps into an expanded role this fall after being promoted from assistant to assistant head coach over the summer, with assistant coach Abbie Vidas rounding out the staff.

The core of Colby's lineup is headlined by junior forward Christina Sweeney, who returns after a breakout 2025 sophomore campaign. Sweeney earned Second Team All-NESCAC honors last fall—making her one of just eight underclassmen in the conference to receive All-Conference recognition—after leading the roster in both goals (11) and overall points (24). She will be joined by a group of four seniors providing direct leadership on and off the field this season, with the veteran core further reinforced by six incoming first-years eager to make an immediate mark.
