Durham, N.H. — The Colby College Cross Country teams competed at the Jim Boulanger Invitational at the University of New Hampshire on April 4, with the women placing sixth out of seven teams and the men finishing fifth out of seven.
Maddie Bush led the women with a commanding win in the 800 meters, crossing in 2:24.41 to take first place.
Marianne Spyra contributed a strong fourth-place finish in the 3,000-meter steeplechase in 12:24.07, while
Norah Mills placed seventh in the 5,000 meters in 20:43.68. Adri Ryan added results in both the 800 meters (11th, 2:40.50) and the 1,500 meters (20th, 5:24.06), and Freja Skarne ran 5:55.39 to place 28th in the 1,500.
On the men's side,
Stephen White captured first place in the 5,000 meters in 15:22.48, while
Max Adam added a seventh-place showing in the event in 15:53.51. In the 800 meters,
Will Parker and
Will Fletcher placed fourth and fifth respectively in 2:03.47 and 2:03.68. Parker also finished 11th in the 1,500 meters in 4:11.18.
The Mules will return to action at Connecticut College on April 10.
