Brunswick, Maine - The Colby College track & field teams delivered a balanced performance at the Lynn Ruddy Invitational hosted by Bowdoin College, highlighted by event victories in the field and multi-events.
On the women's side, Ellie Wang led the way on the track with a fifth-place finish in the 60 meters (8.11) and a third-place showing in the 200 meters (27.24), while Josie Hopkins added points in both the 200 and 60-meter hurdles, placing eighth (28.34) and third (9.68), respectively. In the mid-distance events, Quinn Cushing and Caroline Kvaal finished fourth and sixth in the 800 meters. Jordan Roskiewicz placed third in the pentathlon with 2,721 points, and the Mules added solid field performances from Gabriella Bresnick (fourth, pole vault), Ariel Estime (sixth, long jump and triple jump), and Hopkins (eighth, triple jump).
The men were paced by strong efforts in the field events and heptathlon. Logan Sullivan cleared 1.87 meters to win the high jump, while Lexington Lehnert captured the pole vault title at 4.60 meters, followed by Logan Lehnert in second and Wyatt Patterson in fourth. Ernest Obiorah placed fourth in the shot put. In the heptathlon, Jake Hall claimed the overall title with 3,776 points, leading a podium sweep that included Milan Joshi in second and Alex Lyon in third.
The team will be hosting the Mule Tune-up on Saturday, Feb 21 on the campus of Colby College in Waterville, Maine.
