Collegeville, Pa. — Competing against a massive regional field at the All-Atlantic Region Track & Field Conference Championships hosted by Ursinus College, the Colby College track & field teams secured highly competitive results, with the men finishing eighth out of 46 teams and the women placing 10th out of 50.
The women's squad was powered by a dominant sprint performance from
Simone Waheed, who captured regional titles in both the 100 meters with a time of 11.87 and the 200 meters in 24.22.
Olivia Doherty earned a strong fourth-place finish in the 800 meters, crossing the line in 2:12.03, while
Quinn Cushing added to the track highlights by placing seventh in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 1:05.77.
For the men,
Lexington Lehnert led the charge in the field events, securing a runner-up finish in the pole vault by clearing a height of 5.01 meters, while
Logan Sullivan tied for sixth in the high jump at 1.97 meters. On the track,
Levi Biery raced to a second-place finish in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 53.05, and
Jackson Coelho added a third-place podium finish in the 400 meters in 48.29. Biery and Coelho also joined forces with Sam Graubart and
Mark Graubart in the 4x400-meter relay, where the quartet combined to place second overall with a time of 3:12.27.
The team will next be competing in the NCAA DIII Outdoor Championships on Thursday, May 21, at Lacrosse, Wis.
