La Crosse, Wis. — Competing at the 2026 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships at the Veterans Memorial Field Sports Complex, the Colby College track & field teams delivered a series of spectacular performances to capture multiple podium finishes and All-American honors, with the women placing 14th out of 72 teams and the men finishing 34th out of 68.
The women's squad turned heads with dominant showings in both individual sprints and relays, spearheaded by a phenomenal weekend from
Simone Waheed. Waheed earned First Team All-American distinctions in two events, capturing fourth place in the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.74 seconds and matching that with another fourth-place finish in the 200-meter dash in 23.94 seconds. The Mules' relay units also stood tall against the nation's best. The 4x400-meter relay team consisting of
Alex Hermsdorf,
Charlotte Brake-Hoffman,
Olivia Doherty, and
Kaitlyn Ewald powered their way to a third-place podium finish, crossing the line in 3:44.27. Colby's 4x100-meter relay team of
Tally Zeller,
Charlotte Brake-Hoffman,
Kaitlyn Ewald, and
Simone Waheed added to the All-American haul by placing sixth overall with a time of 46.46 seconds.
On the men's side,
Levi Biery highlighted the weekend for the Mules in the 400-meter hurdles. Entering the meet as the defending national champion, Biery fought through a highly competitive field to claim a spot on the national podium once again, securing a third-place finish with a stellar time of 51.81 seconds to earn First Team All-American honors.
This concludes the outdoor season for the Mules.
