Waterville, Maine - Following a great showing at the IRA National Championships last month for the Colby Men's Crew team, senior Charlie Anderson has earned the status of an Empacher-IRCA All-American. He claims a spot on the first team alongside nine fellow NESCAC athletes making up the Division III selections. This is the fifth consecutive year that the IRCA has acknowledged crew athletes with All-American honors. 

In order to be named an All-American, rowers and coxswains must meet all eligibility rules defined by their institution, must have raced in their team's varsity boat for the current spring racing season, must be nominated by their institution and the head coach of the student athlete's institution must be in good standing with the IRCA.

Nominated student-athletes are then selected by the IRCA Board of Directors to "1st team", "2nd team", or "Honorable Mention" based on strength of finish of the institution's varsity boat, nomination rank within institution, as well as Coach's comments, individual achievements, and erg score.
