The Intercollegiate Rowing Coaches Association (IRCA) has released its 2026 postseason honors, with Colby Men's Crew standouts
Jack Childress and
Jack Weinberg both earning spots on the Empacher-IRCA All-American Second Team.
To be considered for the prestigious All-American teams, student-athletes must meet strict institutional eligibility requirements, compete in their program's top varsity boat throughout the spring season, and be nominated by their head coach. The IRCA Board of Directors then selects the final honorees based on varsity boat finishes, individual achievements, and ergometer scores.
Both Childress and Weinberg were central to the Mules' First Varsity Eight (1V8) crew this season. Their power and leadership helped guide the boat into the Grand Finals at the New England Rowing Championships earlier this spring and pushed the team as high as No. 6 in the national rankings.
The All-American duo capped off their spring by leading Colby onto the national stage at the IRA National Championship Regatta in Gold River, California, marking the program's second consecutive appearance at the pinnacle event of collegiate rowing.
With these awards, Childress and Weinberg join an elite group of student-athletes recognized as the top performers across men's collegiate rowing.
