Worcester, Mass - After a few good weeks of practice under their belts, The Mules made the trip down to Lake Quinsigamond this morning to race the Snake Regatta. Traveling with 5 crews, this was the largest and deepest Men's team Colby Crew has ever had. The team was met with perfect fall conditions: low 60s, sunny skies, and a light breeze out of the north. This light headwind gave the guys a stable platform to lay down a strong rhythm. And that they did. Each boat put on solid performances and in a 22 boat field, Colby finished 3rd, 5th, 9th, 11th, and 15th. After the racing, Head Coach,
Stew Stokes remarked that "the team did a great job today with the Men improving on last years performance. The guys fielded the largest, and one of the deepest teams at the regatta. Each crew executed their race plans very well and all of our first-years did a great job in their first collegiate race. Our Seniors and Captains did a great job leading the team in it's first step of the 2026/2027 campaign."
Colby's A boat led the pack for the Mules covering the 2.5 mile course in 13:52.7, just behind Holy Cross's A and B crews. Colby B was next, finishing fifth in 14:14.7. Colby C came across the line in 14:43.3, and Colby D was close behind in 11th with a time of 14:48.0. Colby E was the last crew across the line for the Mules, finishing in 15:25.4.
