Waterville, Maine -
Christina Sweeney of the Colby Field Hockey team ends her sophomore season earning a spot on the 2025 All-NESCAC Second Team. She is one of eight underclassmen in the NESCAC to earn All-Conference recognition.
The Milton, Mass. native played in all 15 games for the Mules this season leading the team in goals (11) and total points (24). Compared to the rest of the conference Sweeney ranks first in shots on goal (49) and shots on goal average (3.27), third in goals per game (.733 average) and sixth in total points. She scored the first goal of the season for Colby against Bowdoin, netted two game winners this year and recorded a hat trick to help upset tenth ranked Hamilton.
Sweeney made a big jump from her first season with the Mules statistically and will look to do the same heading into her junior year in 2026.
