Boston, Mass - The Colby Track & Field teams returned from their trip to The TRACK at New Balance, participating in races hosted by Middlebury College.
For the women's 200m dash,
Fiona Mejico finished in 25.42 seconds, placing her fourth in the race, along with other Colby runner including
Tally Zeller and
Charlotte Brake-Hoffman, each finished in 26.29 and 26.42, placing them in tenth and twelfth place out of fifty-seven runners.
Fiona Mejico also competed in the 400m dash, finished in 57.01 seconds, placing her first out of thirty-nine runners. In the 800m run,
Kaitlyn Ewald was placed sixth in the race, finishing in 2:16.86.
In the men's 200m dash,
Ian Irwin finished in 22.15 seconds, placing him fifth in the race, followed by
Ren Zanze, finished in 22.28 seconds and placing him seventh out of 52 runners.
Ren Zanze also competed in the 400m dash, finished in 48.79 seconds, placing him first out of thirty-nine runners. In the 60m hurdles,
Levi Biery finished in 8.76 seconds in the first round making him qualified for finals, placing him fifth place in the finals and finished in 8.62 seconds. In the pole vault,
Logan Lehnert cleared 4.45m and placed sixth in the competition, followed by
Myles Thornton-Sherman and
Lexington Lehnert, which both cleared 4.30m.
The Track and Field team will be back in Boston, Mass on Friday, January 31st for the Terrier Classic.
