Medford, MA - The Colby College Men's Tennis team fell to the Tufts Jumbos by a score of 9-0 on Saturday, April 23rd. Despite the overall score, the Mules battled at each position and made their opponents earn their wins. In doubles, Sam Henry and Max Schuermann had a back and fourth battle with Tufts at the #2 position, ultimately falling 8-6. The Jumbos took the other two doubles points by 8-4 and 8-3 scorelines at the #1 and and #3 positions respectively. 

With Jan Wenger and Ben Powis out due to Covid-19, the Mules' singles lineup shifted up a spot, with Sriram Das moving into the #6 position. The Mules started strong in almost all of the first sets in the singles, with Das going up 4-0, and Joey Barrett, James Bogdanovic, Henry and Schuermann locked in tight games. Tufts eventually took every singles match, giving the Jumbos the match win. Bogdanovic had a great fight at the #5 position, fighting tooth and nail to try to pull it to a third set, but Tufts ultimately got the upper hand in the last few games.
