Waterville, MAINE - On January 15th, 2022 visiting teams Hobart and William Smith Colleges traveled down to Waterville to face the Colby Mules. Overall, the men's team topped Hobart College with a 7-2 win.
One highlight of the day includes #6 seat
Rintaro Yamamoto who pulled out a win in the first game, but then fell behind with his opponent winning the next two games. Although Yamamoto was down 1-2, he came back and secured another win for the team with a score of (11-9, 9-11, 9-11, 11-5, 11-6). Another highlight includes #1 seat
Jonathan Sosa Uranga who won his first game with a tight score of (18-16). Sosa kept his focus and dominated the next two games with a score of (11-4, 11-4), securing one of the first wins for the Colby Mules.
Another close match includes #8 seat
Kit Illick who started off with a slow start and was down 0-2 in games. After a good pep talk from fellow teammates, Illick came back winning the next 3 games, defeating his opponent with a score of (9-11, 2-11, 11-9, 11-6, 11-7).
