Medford, Mass. - The Mules traveled out of the state for the first time this season and ran at a Tufts Invitational meet against new competitors. While the clouds hung over the Jumbo's track, it did nothing to dampen the success that the Mules saw at this meet.

The woman's side dominated the meet.
Sharde Johnson (pictured left) won the high jump and broke her own school record with a leap of 1.74m. Johnson currently tied for first the nation for high jump with that height. Sadé Greenidge (12.41) and
Sabria Merrifield (12.42) went second and third in the 100m dash. Lottie Franck led the 400m with a season's best of 59.32, the only one in the field to break the 60 second barrier.
Christina Speliakos won the 100m hurdles with a blazing time of 15.33. First year
Mary Calvert won the pole vault with a jump of 3.15m, followed closely by teammate
Katie-Marie Roy (3.00m). The 4x100 relay (Speliakos, Merrifield, Roy, Greenidge) came out on top with a speedy time of 47.77, only .07 off the school record.
On the men's side,
Tyler Morris (14:35.99) and
Ben Mellor (14:48.95) continue to prove their dominance in the 5000m, by taking first and second places. Morris takes #4 in school history with his time, while Mellor takes #6 in school history.
JT Munz ran a great 800m race and came in second with a time of 1:56.07. Munz improves his #10 performances in school history as well.
Colby went down to Tufts with a mission and they did everything they could to accomplish it, and it certainly shows with their absolute dominance in the events that they won. The Mules look to qualify more people for nationals at the Tufts Last Chance meet, and those who have already qualified turn their attention to Nationals.
