Waterville, Maine - The Colby Men's Tennis team kicks off its 2026 fall slate tomorrow, traveling to Cambridge to compete in the three-day MIT Invitational. The tournament features an eight-team field including host MIT, Babson, Brandeis, Wesleyan, Amherst, Bowdoin, Tufts, and the Mules.

The fall campaign marks the beginning of a new era on Mayflower Hill, with newly appointed head coach Matt Brisotti taking the helm. Brisotti joins Colby following a championship-caliber run at the University of Chicago, bringing elite Division III national tournament experience to elevate the Mules' program.

While senior Kevin Mortimer provides key veteran leadership as the roster's sole senior, Colby's deep lineup is anchored by a dynamic duo of returning All-NESCAC honorees. Junior Jason Daly returns after back-to-back standout seasons, having earned Second Team All-Conference honors in both singles and doubles for two consecutive years. Daly, the 2025 NESCAC Rookie of the Year, operated at the No. 1 singles spot all last spring and spearheaded the lineup alongside classmate Marco Ziets-Segura. Ziets-Segura earned his first career All-Conference nod last spring as a Second Team doubles selection with Daly, with the top pair totaling seven doubles victories and helping lead Colby to the NESCAC Championship quarterfinals.

Following the weekend action at MIT, Colby will gear up for the competitive ITA Regionals hosted by Middlebury College from Friday, September 25 through Sunday, September 27. The team wraps up its fall schedule in Lewiston at the Wallach Invitational, hosted by Bates College on Saturday, October 10 and Sunday, October 11.
