Worcester, Mass - #5 Colby Men's Crew returned to Worcester this weekend to race #1 Trinity, #6 Marietta, #9 Ithaca, and #10 WPI. The crews were met with grey skies, cool temps, and a light tailwind. In a rematch between four of the eight teams who were at IRAs last year, which included the defending national champion, The Mules were expecting some tough racing. In all three races, the Colby crews beat their opponents from Ithaca and WPI, but fell to Marietta and Trinity. After the racing, Head Coach
Stew Stokes commented that "We knew going into today's racing that it would be a tough test, racing against four other ranked teams. Anytime you have four top-ten teams racing each other, you know it's going to be tense. Each of our crews had parts of the race that they can be proud of and build on, and we also found a lot of areas that we need to improve on. We look forward to getting back to work next week as we prepare for the President's Cup and two tough NESCAC opponents."
