New York, N.Y. - The Colby College track & field teams turned in several strong performances at the All-Atlantic Region Track & Field Conference (AARTFC) Championships, with the Men's team in 9th place and Women's in 4th.
On the women's side, Simone Waheed led the way with a fourth-place finish in the 60 meters (7.64) and a runner-up performance in the 200 meters (24.85). Charlotte Brake-Hoffman joined her on the podium in the 200 meters, placing third in a personal-best 24.93. In the 400 meters, Kaitlyn Ewald finished third in 57.18, while Olivia Doherty followed closely in fourth in 57.30. The 4x400-meter relay team of Doherty, Quinn Cushing, Amanda Schneider, Alex Hermsdorf, Tally Zeller, and Brake-Hoffman combined to place fifth with a time of 3:55.87.
For the men, Jackson Coelho placed fourth in the 400 meters with a time of 48.33. In the field events, Logan Lehnert finished fourth in the pole vault with a clearance of 4.93 meters, while Lexington Lehnert placed fifth at 4.78 meters. The 4x400-meter relay team of Mark Graubart, Sam Graubart, Coelho, and Levi Biery added another strong result with a fourth-place finish in 3:15.67.
The team will next be competing in the NCAA Championships on Friday March 13, at Birmingham, Ala.
