Waterville, Maine - Following a dominant 6-2 home ice victory over the fifth seeded Hamilton Continentals last Saturday in the quarterfinal round, the fourth seeded Colby Women's Ice Hockey team will head to Middlebury, Vermont Saturday, March 7th, to battle the top seeded Panthers in a NESCAC semifinals matchup. Colby, now entering their sixth consecutive season making it to the semifinal round (not including the incomplete 2020-21 season due to the COVID-19 pandemic), will look to avenge last years 3-0 semifinal loss to Middlebury.
To closeout the regular season the #10 Mules and #6 Panthers split the season series 1-1 in the Green Mountain State. Middlebury took game one 3-2 followed by a 3-1 win for Colby the next day. Heading into the weekend the Mules have only lost two of their last 10 games.
Saturday's matchup is set for a 1:00pm start followed by the other semifinal matchup between No. 3 Williams and No. 2 Amherst at 4:30pm. Both winners will battle for the NESCAC crown the following day, Sunday March, 8th, at 2:00pm right back at Middlebury. Fans can follow alongside this weekends action using the
