Boston, Mass. - Competing at the Valentine Invitational hosted by Boston University, the Mules delivered standout performances highlighted by a school record.
On the women's side,
Charlotte Brake-Hoffman led the way with a fifth-place finish in the 200 meters in 24.97, while
Simone Waheed competed in the invitational section and clocked 25.14.
Kaitlyn Ewald posted a strong 56.62 in the 400-meter invitational, with
Olivia Doherty,
Tally Zeller,
Amanda Schneider, and
Alex Hermsdorf adding depth in the event. In the 800 meters, Maddie Bush and
Paige Goodwin raced in large, competitive fields. The 4x400-meter relay of Zeller, Doherty, Ewald, and Brake-Hoffman placed seventh in 3:46.60, and
Amina Cifric cleared 3.30 meters to finish sixth in the pole vault.
The men were headlined by a dominant showing in the 400 meters, as
Jackson Coelho won the event in 48.05 and
Levi Biery followed closely in second at 48.12, with Sam Graubart also cracking the top 10 in ninth (48.62).
Patrick Kuprewicz added an eighth-place finish in the 60-meter hurdles (8.39). The 4x400-meter relay of
Mark Graubart, Sam Graubart, Coelho, and Biery capped the meet with a seventh-place finish in 3:13.65, breaking the Colby school record in the process.
The team will be hosting the Mule Tune-up on Saturday, Feb 21 on the campus of Colby College in Waterville, Maine.
