Boston, Mass. - Colby College turned in a series of strong performances at the Terrier Classic, facing deep and competitive fields across multiple events.
On the women's side, Simone Waheed raced to a 25th-place finish in the 200-meter invitational in 25.79, while Charlotte Brake-Hoffman placed 12th in the 200-meter open with a time of 24.99. Tally Zeller continued her strong season by finishing seventh in the 400 meters in 57.35. In the 500 meters, Kaitlyn Ewald placed fourth in 1:14.06 and Olivia Doherty followed in eighth at 1:17.66. The women's 4x400-meter relay of Zeller, Doherty, Ewald, and Brake-Hoffman earned sixth place with a time of 3:48.21.
The men were highlighted by a dominant showing in the 500 meters, as Jackson Coelho won the event in 1:03.25, followed closely by Levi Biery in second (1:03.55) and Sam Graubart in third (1:04.44). Colby's 4x400-meter relay of Mark Graubart, Sam Graubart, Coelho, and Biery finished fourth in 3:14.30. In the field events, Logan Sullivan placed eighth in the high jump with a clearance of 1.90 meters, while Logan Lehnert earned second in the pole vault at 4.75 meters and Lexington Lehnert finished fourth at 4.60 meters.
The Mules will soon compete at the Maine State Championship in Lewiston, Maine hosted by Bates College on Saturday, Februrary 7.
