Waterville, Maine - The Colby College Men's and Women's Cross Country teams will kick off their 2026 campaign on Saturday, traveling to Brunswick to compete in the Maine State Meet hosted by Bowdoin College.

Both programs enter the fall riding momentum from a national postseason appearance, having capped off the 2025 season on the highest stage at the NCAA Division III Championships.

Head Coach Jared Beers '01 enters his 22nd year at the helm on Mayflower Hill, leading a program boasting both proven experience and roster depth.

"We are so excited for this season!" stated Beers. "With a great group of returners and our largest first year class ever, the team's depth is better than it's ever been."

On the men's side, the Mules return two of their top five national finishers from last fall's NCAA Championship lineup in Eli Ziegler and Stephen White. The women's squad brings back standout runner Ada Grant, who represented Colby as an individual qualifier at last season's national meet.

With national experience at the top of the lineup and a boosted roster depth across the board, both squads look to establish early dominance against state rival competition this weekend.
