Worcester, Mass - Fired up for a trip down the course, the Mules traveled to Lake Quinsigamond this morning to race the Snake Regatta. Colby was met with perfect fall conditions: low 60s, sunny skies, and a light breeze out of the north. Both crews came ready to throw down and the light headwind gave them a stable platform to do just that. In their 21 boat field, Colby finished 4th and 9th. After the racing, Head Coach, Stew Stokes remarked that "the team did a great job today with the Women improving on last years performance. Each crew executed their race plans very well and all of our first-years did a great job in their first collegiate race. Our Seniors and Captains did a great job leading the team in it's first step of the 2026/2027 campaign."
The Colby A crew was first across the line for the Mules, in fourth place, with a time of 16:48.0. Colby trailed MIT, Wellesley, and MIT Lightweight's A crews. Colby B was next, and last, for Colby. They crossed the line in 9th place with a time of 17:50.7. Both crews finished in the top half of the field, an exciting first result of the year.
