Sidney, Maine - On Saturday morning, rowers from Colby, Bates, and Bowdoin came to The Hume Center for the classic fall race on the Messalonskee. Fans filled the shores, coming to enjoy the beautiful fall morning and watch the racing. While temperatures were low to start the day, cloudless skies and little to no wind made for pleasant conditions on the lake. The racing was exciting, and while Bates triumphed in the Varsity and Freshmen events, Colby put on some strong performances. 

In the first wave of racing in the morning, in the Women's F/N 8+ event, Colby finished 2nd behind the Freshman 8+ crew from Bates and ahead of three Bowdoin crews. The Colby boat finished the 6000m race in 25:23.423, 1:12.496 behind the Bates crew, and 46 seconds ahead of the first Bowdoin crew. In this race, Colby's lineup was: Lila Keir '30, Lila Worth '30, Ella Snyder '30, Romy Steen '30, Freya Stasko '30, Macknzie Meirowitz '30, Caroline Overton '30, Emma Shaw '30, and Kate Schwarting '30. 

In the second wave of racing, Colby entered three crews in the Women's Varsity 8+ event. Colby A finished 2nd overall, 17.231 seconds behind Bates A, and just over 6 seconds ahead of Bowdoin A. The Colby B boat fell to their respective counterparts at Bates and Bowdoin. Colby C had a great race, beating their counterparts at Bates and Bowdoin.

Colby B: Addison Young '30, Dede Tindall '28, Dosia Fennell '29, Ella Snyder '30, Romy Steen '30, Abigail Stathis '27, Isa Jurado '27, and Sophia Sorabella '29.
Colby C: Brady Koch '30, Kate Schwarting '30, Saanvi Madduri '29, Mackenzie Meirowitz '30, Maya Ober '29, Emma Shaw '30, Madeline Lee '29, Emerson Meda '30, and Caroline Overton '30.

CBBs marked the final race of the fall season for the Mules, but the team will continue practicing through the rest of the week before heading into the winter season.
