Middlebury, VT - The Mules closed out their road weekend in a tightly contested 4–5 battle that ultimately came down to the final round of matches.
Aware of the challenge posed by Middlebury, Colby entered the day prepared for a close contest and competed relentlessly throughout the lineup.
Seif Ashraf '27 set the tone early, earning the Mules their first win with a quick and decisive 3–0 victory.
Sebastian Campos '26 followed with a thrilling five-game match, narrowly prevailing 11–9 in the fifth to secure Colby's second win of the day.
In the second round,
Hamza Wessam '29 delivered a gritty performance, battling back from a deficit to claim a 3–2 win in a match that lasted over an hour. Celebrating his birthday, Wessam showed determination in every game, including a tightly contested 14–12 finish. The final point for the Mules came from senior
Youssef Mostafa '26, who remained composed and in control to earn a strong victory in four games.
The Mules will look for another opportunity to face the Panthers and turn the tide in a future matchup.
