Waterville, Maine - Recent Colby College graduate and four year member of Colby Crew
Charlie Anderson is set to return to the program ahead of the 2025-26 academic year as a new assistant coach.
"I'm honored to come back to Colby this fall to coach the program I've been apart of for the last four years," stated Anderson. "It's incredible the progress we've made and I'm excited to give all I can to ensure the continued success of Colby Crew into the future."
As a senior captain, Anderson helped lead the men's team to their first appearance at the IRA Championships this past spring. At the end of the 2024-25 season Anderson was named an Empacher-IRCA First Team All-American (

"I'm thrilled to have Charlie back with Colby Crew in this new role assisting both the women's and men's teams," said Head Coach Stew Stokes. "His impact on the team over his four years was impressive. His enthusiasm for rowing, for life, and for Colby Crew is contagious. His energy, insight and work ethic will be a great addition not just to our women's and men's teams, but to the entire department. Tilghman and I are excited to welcome the teams to campus and get the season started!"
Anderson will join the team in late August alongside fellow Assistant Crew Coach Tilghman Moyer, who joined the coaching staff to start the 2023-24 academic year, as well as the Head Coach of Colby Crew Stew Stokes, who is entering his 25th year with the team.
