Crew Prepared for NESCAC Championships

Waterville, Maine - The Colby Men's and Women's Crew teams are headed back to Lake Quinsigamond in Worcester, Mass this Sunday, May 11th for the fourth time this spring competing in the National Invitational Rowing Championships which also serves as the 2025 NESCAC Championship.

The men's champion will be the team with the fastest 1V8 at the National Invitational Rowing Championships (NIRC). The runner-up will be the team with the second-fastest 1V8 at the NIRC. In the event of a tie for the championship, the team with the fastest 2V8 at the NIRC will be the champion. The same tiebreaking procedure will be used to determine the runner-up in the event of a tie for second place. Last year, Wesleyan look home their first conference championship. 

The women's champion will be the team with the highest combined point total of the 1V8 and 2V8 at the National Invitational Rowing Championships (NIRC), using the NCAA point scoring system. The runner-up will be the team with the second-highest combined point total. In the event of a tie for the championship, the team with the fastest V8 at the NIRC will be the champion. The same tie breaking procedure will be used to determine the runner-up in the event of a tie for second place. Last season, Tufts earned the conference crown, their first in program history.
