Atlanta, Ga. - Over the spring break, the Colby athletes traveled to Emory University at Atlanta, Ga. to start off their outdoor season.
In the women's 100m finals,
Simone Waheed was placed fifth, with a time of 12.07 seconds, making her third in Colby history. Waheed was also placed eleventh in the 200m race with a time of 25.30 seconds. In the 400m race,
Olivia Doherty was placed third with a time of 57.48, making her sixth in Colby history, and followed by
Kaitlyn Ewald in seventh place with a time of 58.23 seconds. In the 5000m race,
Abbey Wolfe finished in 18:52.62, making her seventh place in the event. in the 400m hurdles,
Fiona Mejico took first place with a time of 59.79 seconds, breaking the Colby outdoors record. In the 4x100m relay,
Tally Zeller,
Fiona Mejico,
Simone Waheed, and
Charlotte Brake-Hoffman was placed third with a time of 47.23, making them second in Colby history. In pole vault,
Gabriella Bresnick cleared a height of 2.85m on the third try, placing her fifteenth. In the triple jump,
Ariel Estime reached 10.63m, placing her tenth, and followed by
Jordan Roskiewicz in nineteenth place with 10.49m.
In the men's 100m race,
Ian Irwin got first place with a time of 10.72 seconds, making him third in Colby history. In the 200m race,
Ian Irwin tied twelfth place with a time of 22.01, and immediately followed by
Peter Martel with a time of 22.03 seconds, making them each seventh and eighth place in Colby history. In the 400m race, Pater Martel got tenth place with a time of 49.09 seconds, making him ninth in Colby history, and followed by
Jackson Coelho and Sam Graubart each in twelvth and thirteenth place with times of 49.62 and 49.65 seconds. In the 3000m race,
Henry Reichle got nineth place with a time of 9:01.04, along with
Thomas Speltz and
Will Eckes each in twelfth and nineteenth place with times of 9:06.97 and 9:20.57. In the 110m hurdles finals,
Levi Biery got seventh place with a time of 15.19 seconds. Biery also got first place in the 400m hurdles, finishing in 53.03 seconds. In the 3000 steeplechase,
Brady Clegg got first place with a time of 9:57.06. In pole vault
Lexington Lehnert,
Myles Thornton-Sherman and
Wyatt Patterson all cleared 4.60m and each placed second, fourth, and fifth, along with
Logan Lehnert and
Peter Martel tied in sixth place clearing 4.45m.
The Mules will conclude their spring break in Emory Invitational II at Atlanta, Ga. next weekend on Friday, March 28.
