Middlebury, Vt. - The Colby Mules Swimming and Diving team finished up a strong NESCAC Championship meet by putting swimmers in finals of every event on Sunday night. One of the biggest highlights was
Ivan Knoepflmacher winning the Career High Point Diver of the meet award. He had a great meet and finished 4th on the 3 m board Saturday night to add to his 6th place on the 1 m on Friday.
Curtis Johnson started things off by swimming the 7th fastest time in school history and placed 20th overall. In the 200 Backstroke
Noam Reinhorn placed 19th and
Spencer Cohen achieved an NCAA B cut as he placed 6th overall in the event.Â
The Mules had four swimmers make the finals of the 100 Freestyle with
Carson Rehkopf getting another 6th place,
Ethan Chang placed 11th,
Michael Fiechter 17th and
Todd Siekman 25th. All four of the swims registered in the top 11 in school history.Â
Alexander MacLennan kept things going placing 19th in the 200 Breaststroke and
Brandon Morrison and
Skylar Yoham placed 14th and 15th in the 200 Butterfly. The night finished with the 400 Freestyle Relays putting up the 5th and 8th fastest times in school history. Overall the Mules finished in 9th place with 626.5 points.
Next up Knoepflacher will head to Springfield, MA on Friday Febuary 28th to compete in the NCAA Diving Regional Championships.
