  The Colby Men's Swimming and Diving team had a strong performances on Monday as they faced off against #21 Connecticut College on Monday. With the strong swims the Mules came away with wins in both relays as well as winning 5 individual events. In the end Connecticut proved a little too much and the Mules fell by the score of 167-127.
The first relay (200 Medley) started off strong with the team of
Brandon Xiong,
Alexander MacLennan,
Alex Ruckel-Bekefi and
Brandon Morrison winning the event by over two full seconds. In the process the team also put up the 13th fastest time swum in Colby College Swimming history. The meet would continue to go back and forth and the Mules had back to back wins as
Amaan Siddiqui won the 200 Freestyle and Xiong followed him with a win in the 100 Backstroke. Colby would see another two wins in a row as Morrison won the 200 Butterfly and
Ethan Chang won the 50 freestyle.
Morrison won his second individual later in the meet as he was victorious in the 100 Butterfly as well. It the final event, the 200 Freestyle Relay the Mules would again swim to victory by a large margin. The team of Siddiqui, Chang, Morrison and
Michael Fiechter would earn the win bt 1.8 seconds to close out the meet.
Next up: The Mules will travel to Middletown, CT on Saturday January 24th to face off against Wesleyan College. Start time is 1:00 pm.
