The Colby women's swimming and Diving team put on a dominating performance at the Maine College Invite over the past two days and won the meet by over 600 points. The next closets team was Division I, the University of Maine with fellow NESCAC schools Bowdoin College and Bates College following. Final team scores were:
Colby College           1349.5
University of Maine  744.5
Bowdoin College      672.5
Bates College          626.5
From the first event right to the last event the Mules showed their dominance to all of the other schools from the state of Maine and did it in a very impressive fashion. Along the way the team set 4 school records, 7 meet records, 1 pool record (
Eliza Marco -100 IM), achieved 6 NCAA B cuts and diver
Avery Rappaport qualified for the NCAA Regional diving meet. A great performance by the entire team as there were 50 individual additions added to the All time program top 20 as well as 6 relay additions. (list posted below)
The strength of the team really shined thorough both in the individual events and relays. In all three relays the Mules got 1st and 3rd with both teams beating most of the other teams best relays. All 3 Colby A relays achieved NCAA B times and have a very good chance at qualifying for the NCAA Championships meet with those times.

It was a great way to conclude the fall semester and with this meet the Mules finished up an unbeaten fall and look forward to keep their win streak going. After finals they will head to Key Largo, Fl on the 16th for a week of winter training and return to campus on Jan 2nd, They will continue their dual meet schedule on January 1oth in Middlebury, VT as they face off against Middlebury College. The meet start time is 1 pm.
