Hopkinton, N.H. – The Colby College Men's and Women's Cross Country teams delivered two of their strongest performances of the season at the NCAA Division III East Region Championships, hosted by Suffolk University, with both squads placing inside the top ten and the men earning a podium finish.
The men's team had an outstanding day, finishing 3rd out of 32 teams to secure one of their best regional results in program history.
Chris Gould led the charge with a 9th-place finish in 24:45.0, followed by
Danny Reyes in 18th (25:07.9).
Stephen White took 20th (25:16.7), and
Henry Reichle crossed in 23rd (25:19.8), giving Colby four runners inside the top 25 and locking down their impressive team podium.
The women's team also rose to the occasion, placing 8th out of 30 teams in the 6k championship race.
Ada Grant paced the Mules with a strong 23rd-place finish in 22:23.8, while
Abbey Wolfe followed in 34th (22:42.3).
Kintla Thomas placed 53rd (23:17.5) and Maria DiBari finished 57th (23:23.8), rounding out a tightly packed scoring group that propelled Colby into the top third of the region.
The Mules will be back for NCAA Championships at the Roger Milliken Center on Saturday, Nov 22.
