Lewiston, Maine - Returning from winter break, Colby College athletes competed at the Bates Invitational.
The Men's team competed in the mile and 3000m events. In the mile run,
Ciaran Groom and
Will Parker each finished with a time of 4:45.86 and 4:59.75, placing 10th and 12th. In the 3000m event,
Stephen White, the top performer of Colby, finished with a time of 9:07.58.
The Women's team competed in the mile, 1000m, and 3000m events. In the mile run,
Ada Grant led the way for Colby, finishing in 5:41.18. Maddie Bush and
Margo Kenyon secured a top three finish in the 1000m race, with a time of 3:07.19 and 3:16.97. In the 3000m race,
Claire Beebe outperformed the rest, finishing in 10:27.44, placing 3rd in the race.
The distance runners will be competing at the University of Southern Maine in Gorham, Maine, on Saturday, January 25th, and the rest of the Colby Track and Field team will participate in the Middlebury's Small College Invitational in Boston, Mass on Sunday, January 26th.
