Waltham, Mass - The Colby Track & Field teams returned from their trip to Brandeis University for the Reggie Poyau Memorial Invitational. The women's team is placed third, and men's team is places second out of ten teams.
The Women's Track and Field team claimed victory in three events, with
Simone Waheed finishing the Women 300m race in 41.89 seconds,
Kaitlyn Ewald finishing the Women 500m race in 1 minute and 16.27 seconds, and
Kristina Pizzi,
Kaitlyn Ewald,
Fiona Mejico, and
Charlotte Brake-Hoffman finishing the Women 4x400m relay race in just under 4 minutes, ranking fourth in all of US DIII colleges.
The Men's Track and Filed team also claimed victory in three events, with
Ren Zanze setting a new personal record and finishing the Men 500m race in 1 minute and 5.77 seconds,
Lexington Lehnert setting a new personal record and clearing 4.60 meters in the Men Pole Vault event, and
Peter Martel,
Jackson Coelho,
Levi Biery, and
Ren Zanze finishing the Men 4X400m relay race in 3 minutes and 26.66 seconds.
The Mules will be back on track with their next competition scheduled for January 26th, when they will participate in the Middlebury's Small College Invitational in Boston, Mass.
