Waterville, Maine- Colby College Men's Squash remained at the Harold Alfond Athletics and Recreation Center to compete against the St.Lawrence University Saints. The Mules defeated the Saints 9-0 to improve to 7-3 overall and remain at 3-3 in NESCAC conference competition.
In addition to a 9-0 victory, the Mules saw five 3-0 victories by
Seif Ashraf,
Jonathan Sosa Uranga,
Youssef Mostafa,
Sebastian Campos, and
Rintaro Yamamoto. Continuing an excellent freshman campaign,
Seif Ashraf kept his opponent to five points or less throughout each round. Similarly,
Youssef Mostafa excelled in one round in particular, holding his competitor to only one point.
Carlos Zendejas earned the 3-1 victory in a tough competition, only falling in one round that continued to 19 points.
Inwoo Lee and
Sen Subramaniam fell in their seconds rounds, but won the next two rounds straight for the victory.
On Wednesday, January 24th, Colby College Men's Squash will compete in their final home match-up against in-state rivals the Bates College Bobcats at 12:00pm.
