Worcester, Mass- The Colby Crew team returned to Worcester, Massachusetts for the second time in three weeks, this time to face off against Trinity, Ithaca, Clark, Connecticut College and host WPI. The Men's Varsity 8 continued its hot streak, racing to second place behind 5
th ranked Trinity, and solidly defeating 6
th ranked WPI and 7
th ranked Ithaca. This was the best race of the year for the group, who came off the line in second and never gave up the advantage while rowing a calm and collected race. It was a confidence boosting race for the Mules, who will look to carry that energy into the CBB championship next weekend at the President's Cup.
The Women's Varsity 8 was given a tough outside lane assignment and fought hard to hang onto the lead pack, ultimately finishing 5
th and defeating NESCAC rival Connecticut College by over 13 seconds. The Women's Second Varsity 8 also finished 5
th, despite a challenging week marred by illness. They defeated Conn College by open water, grinding out an advantage after the first 500 meters and avenging a defeat from two weeks prior.
