Lewiston, Maine- Colby College Women's Track and Field traveled to Bates College to compete in the Maine State Meet. The Mules finished in third with 159.66 points, behind Bowdoin and Bates, and ahead of Southern Maine, Husson, Maine-Farmington, St.Jospeh's, and Thomas College.
Some highlights from the meet include four first-place finishes by Colby. In the Women's 600 Meters, the Mules swept the podium with
Anna Mackey on top with a time of 1:38.99 and
Abby Steffler and
Kristina Pizzi following behind with 2nd and 3rd place respectively. Erin Daughterty represented Colby with a first-place finish in the Women's 60 hurdles. In the Women's 4x400 relay the team of
Charlotte Freniere,
Kristina Pizzi,
Alene Fernandes, and
Haley Wims crossed the finish line three seconds before the second-place finishers. Senior
Kassie Brink represented the Mules in the field events with a first-place finish in the Women's Triple Jump.
Next Friday, February 10th, Colby College Women's Track and Field will travel to Boston University to compete in the Valentine Invitational.
