Waterville, Maine - For the first time since 2002, the Colby College Volleyball team is heading into the postseason marked as the two seed for the conference tournament. The Mules will host the winner of the No. 10 Bowdoin vs No. 7 Hamilton first round matchup on Sunday November 5th. During the regular season, Colby topped both Bowdoin (September 16th) and Hamilton (October 14th) three sets to one on Mayflower Hill.
"The team is so excited for the opportunity to host a quarterfinals game," said head coach
Lindsay Johnson. "The hard work put in to enhance our tradition and culture has really come through on the court, with all of our athletes contributing at one point or another. They support each other without fail, and we are excited to continue competing and seeing how far we go."
The Mules closed out the regular season totaling 17 wins, the most since 2005 and topping last years 14 wins, including winning 10 of their last 12 games. This is the first time Colby will make back-to-back trips to the tournament since the 2011 and 2012 seasons.
