No. 4 Mules Volleyball Sweep Lassell University in Non-Conference Battle

Waterville, Maine — Fresh off earning national recognition as the No. 4 team in both the AVCA Division III Coaches Poll and the NCAA Division III NPI rankings, the Colby Mules showcased their full athletic prowess inside the Margaret M. Crook Center during a Friday night matchup against Lasell University.

Olivia Drayden set the momentum at the net and behind the service line, serving as the Mules' kill-leader with seven kills (.500 hitting percentage) while adding three service aces and two solo blocks. Cyanne Jones delivered impressive execution in the front-row, converting five of her six swings to yield a hitting percentage of (.833). Meanwhile, Haley Beigh (six kills, .500) and Evelyn Kunde (five kills, .455) maximized their rotational skill set to keep their front-row attacks aggressive. Freshman Anaya Francois added three kills (.500) and six digs, while senior Brady Moseley anchored the back line with a match-high 13 digs alongside five kills.

Colby's setting rotation efficiently directed the floor throughout the evening, with Sydney DeProfio setting 15 assists and Gabby Grujic distributing 12 assists, two service aces, and five digs. Libero Reese Loyd brought continuous energy behind the serving line, landing a match-high of six service aces to emphasize Colby's effective serving effort of 11 total service aces.

The Mules return to action inside the Margaret M. Crook Center on Saturday, Oct. 24, taking on Worcester Polytechnic Institute at 12 p.m. to celebrate Colby Volleyball's 10 graduating players on their Senior Night.
