Rochester, NY- Colby College Men's Squash competed against the University of Rochester Yellowjackets, falling 8-1. The Mules are now 6-8 overall and 4-4 NESCAC conference competition.
Some highlights from the matchup include a 3-2 victory by
Jonathan Sosa Uranga. After falling in his first two rounds,
Jonathan Sosa Uranga won his second two rounds 11-4 to take the competition to the fifth round, where he defeated his competitor 11-8 to get a win for Colby.
Sen Subramaniam also had a close match that went to five rounds.
Sen Subramaniam won his first and third rounds and took the early lead in the fifth round, but was defeated in a close fifth round.
Rintaro Yamamoto also saw several close rounds, winning his third round 14-12 but falling in his fourth round 10-12.
Today at 6:00 pm, Colby College Men's Squash will travel to Geneva, NY to compete against the Hobart College Statesmen.
