Norton, Mass.- Colby College Women's Track and Field competed against the Wheaton College Lyons in the Lyon-Mule Dual. The Mules bested the Lyons 72-68 for their third straight first-place victory.
In addition to the overall victory, the Mules got first place in six of their events. In the Women's 800 Meters, Colby got first through third place with freshman
Abby Steffler coming in first. The Mules also dominated the Women's 3000 Meters, winning first through third place with
Claire Beebe leading the way. In the Women's 60 Hurdles,
Erin Daugherty went under ten seconds to get the victory. In Women's 4x400 Relay,
Tally Zeller,
Olivia Doherty,
Fiona Mejico,
Kristina Pizzi used their combined effort to win by a ten-second margin. In the field events,
Isabel Llach got the victory for Colby at the 1.56m mark. In the Women's Triple Jump,
Alison Angley hit the 10.37m mark to finish out the Mules' victorious meet.
Next Friday, January 27th, Colby College Women's Track and Field will travel to Boston, Mass. to compete in the Terrier Classic at 11:00 am.
