Box Score Amherst, Mass. - In a conference matchup on Saturday, The Mules lost to Amherst 12-7. After a great effort and a long game due to lightning delay, the Mules could not overcome the deficit.

The Mules went up quickly with four goals in the first quarter and maintained a lead until half time. The game was paused in the second period to account for lightning. Early in the third period, Amherst scored 4 unanswered goals and Colby could not answer. Goalies Will Rickards and Matt Suffredini had an impressive, combined 26 saves throughout the game.

Colby plays Bowdoin on Wednesday at 7pm for another NESCAC matchup, traveling to Brunswick, Maine.
