Waltham, MA - Colby Men's Tennis fell to Brandeis University by a score of 6-3 on Sunday, March 13. Coming off a long day in Cambridge, MA playing MIT, the Mules started strong at 3rd doubles, with
Sam Henry and
Max Schuermann winning 8-2 in quick fashion. At the 1st and 2nd positions, the Mules played Brandeis close but ultimately fell to go behind 1-2 after doubles.
In the singles, highlights included
Jake Cohen's second consecutive singles win, defeating his opponent 6-3. 6-2 at the 3rd position. It was sweet revenge for Cohen, after losing to the same opponent in the finals of the B draw at the Middlebury Invitational during the fall season. Schuermann got the third point for the Mules with a straight sets win at the 4th position.
"I think we are moving in the right direction, and with every match we are getting better and better," said Cohen. "I loved the competitiveness shown by the whole team this weekend and excited for spring break next week."
