WATERVILLE, Maine -- Paige Hanssen had 16 kills and hit .424 in just three sets for Colby College in a 3-0 loss to Wesleyan University in a NESCAC volleyball match Saturday.
In the Mules' other match, Babson College took a 3-0 win in sets scores of 25-12, 25-23, 25-20.
Hanssen also had 13 defensive digs, two service aces, and two blocks in the 25-18, 26-24, 25-18 setback to Wesleyan.
Alexa Busser added six kills and three blocks for Colby. Erin Maidman finished with 15 digs and Emily Moslener had 17 assists. Karolina Serhan had five kills and three blocks.
Mia Hogan led the Cardinals with 10 kills, while Nicole Hilton added nine kills and three solo blocks. Kaira Muraoka-Robertson finished with 37 assists.
In the Babson match, Kate Wincek had four kills and eight digs. Isa Berzansky added three kills and two blocks. Alexa Busser had three blocks and two aces for the Mules (4-14).
Jenny Karnes paced Babson (12-7) with nine kills.
