Waterville, Maine - The second ranked Colby Volleyball team remained undefeated Wednesday night, securing a 3-0 (25-22, 25-21, 25-14) sweep against UMass Boston at the Margaret M. Crook Center. With this resounding win, Colby keeps its record intact at 7-0 overall.
Colby showcased a balanced offensive effort, high-percentage hitting, and active play at the service line to control the match from start to finish.
Brady Moseley and Evelyn Kunde led a strong offensive line with eight kills each, with Kunde hitting an effortless .400 over 15 total attack attempts. Hayley Beigh contributed six kills while matching Evelyn Kunde 's .400 hitting percentage. At the net, Kendall Glover terminated four kills over six attempts without error (.667) alongside a team-high four block assists. Brianna Hazak added five kills, three digs, and a service ace. On defense, libero Reese Loyd anchored the back row with a match-high 10 digs while adding five assists. Lastly, the Mules kept the Beacons off balance from behind the serving line, tallying aces from Sydney DeProfio, Brady Moseley, Brianna Hazak, Olivia Drayden, Jordan Lee, and Anaya Francois. Colby displayed complete dominance at the net, combining for 43 kills, four team blocks, and six amazing service aces overall.
The Mules look to keep their momentum rolling on Friday as they hit the road to take on NESCAC rival Bowdoin at 7:00 p.m.
