Middlebury, Vt. - The Colby Golf team opened its 2026 fall season this weekend at Middlebury, placing 15th overall with a two-day team total of 635 (+67) at the Duke Nelson Invitational hosted at Ralph Myhre Golf Course.

Senior Matthew Lamy spearheaded the effort for the Mules, pacing the lineup with a 17th place individual finish. Lamy put together a steady weekend, firing a opening-round 77 (+6) before shaving two strokes off his score on Sunday to card a second-round 75 (+4) for a 152 total. Ben Chisholm delivered identical back-to-back rounds of 79 (+8) and 80 (+9) to finish tied for 61st with a 159 (+17), while Trey Hanson finished just a shot behind him in a tie for 64th at 160 (+18) after matching Lamy's team-best 77 (+6) in round one. Senior Mitchell Ham (166) and Owen Carlson (171) rounded out the team scoring for Colby.

The Mules return to Maine next weekend for a two-event slate, competing in the UMaine-Farmington Invitational on Saturday before hosting the Colby Sid Farr Invitational on Sunday. Both events will take place at the Waterville Country Club.\
