Waterville, Maine - Welcome to Colby Athletics' summer spotlight series, where we take a look into what Colby student-athletes are working on over the summer break. Up next we have rising junior
Matthew Jeong of Colby Men's Tennis.
This summer, Matthew has been working with Worknomore as a machine learning and robotics intern to bring Rally, the humanoid robot, to life! Together with Infosys, the official data partner of the ATP, they are combining real-time match data, machine vision, fun facts, trivia, and quizzes into an activation. Matthew and the team previously worked the Australian Open over Jan Plan, have just finished up at Roland Garros, are now working the HSBC Championships at Queen's Club, and have numerous other projects lined up for the rest of the summer.
"This has honestly been a dream for me, being able to combine my passion for tennis with the skills that I've gained from Colby, and I hope to keep making the most out of this opportunity," said Jeong. "I want to thank Edward Eremyan, Vova Ivanov, and Oleg Chomp for their hard work on these projects. Go Mules!"
