Five Mules Named to the Basketball Academic All-District Team

The 2025-26 Academic All-District® Basketball teams have been announced recently by College Sport Communicators (CSC). This award recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom.

Five Mules representing Colby Men's and Women's Basketball were named to the list. Sam Hinman of the men's program and Amelia Hanscom, Ana Von Rumohr, Lydia Mordarski, and Talia Thompson of the women's team. This is the second time that Hanscom, Von Rumohr, and Mordarski have been recognized.

Outstanding student-athletes are nominated for Academic All-District® recognition by current CSC members and must meet high academic and athletic standards. To qualify, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, have a minimum 3.50 cumulative GPA and must compete in 90 percent of the institution's games played OR must start in at least 66 percent of the institution's games.
